Zubin Appoo Appointed CEO of WiseTech Global

WiseTech Global (ASX:WTC) has confirmed the appointment of Zubin Appoo as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. His appointment follows a comprehensive internal and external search process.
Zubin replaces Andrew Cartledge, who had been serving as Interim CEO since October 2024 and CFO since 2015. Cartledge is set to retire at the end of 2025, as previously announced.
Zubin returns to WiseTech with more than two decades of experience leading technology teams and bringing innovative products to market. Between 2004 and 2018, he played a key role in shaping the company’s growth strategy alongside Co-Founder and former CEO Richard White.
Since leaving WiseTech in 2018, Zubin has held senior executive roles across a range of sectors, including technology and health. His leadership experience includes positions as CTO at InLoop, Flexischools and HICAPS, and as CEO of Find a Carer. Most recently, he rejoined WiseTech as Chief of Staff.
He now steps into the CEO role with full responsibility for the company’s operations, growth and performance. He will work closely with Richard White, who remains Executive Chair, on long-term product vision, innovation and strategic investments.
The Board says Zubin’s appointment reflects its focus on strong governance and executive clarity. The CEO will be directly accountable to the Board for delivering strategy and operational outcomes.
Andrew Cartledge will remain with the company until his retirement, supporting key projects and providing ongoing transition support as needed.
Lead Independent Director Andrew Harrison said the Board had considered a strong field of candidates and was confident Zubin was the right choice.
“Zubin brings a deep understanding of our products, markets and culture. He also has the ability to lead independently while collaborating closely with Richard. This balance was critical in the feedback we received from shareholders earlier this year,” Harrison said.
He also thanked Cartledge for his years of service: “Andrew’s leadership during his time as CFO and Interim CEO helped steer WiseTech through important stages of growth and change. We’re grateful for his impact.”
Richard White echoed the sentiment, adding: “Zubin has the right mix of experience in technology, product development and leadership, as well as a strong understanding of our business and the logistics sector. He’s hit the ground running since returning and is already contributing to our innovation and performance goals.”
Zubin said he was proud to take on the role: “WiseTech has been a major part of my professional journey. I’ve been a shareholder since 2005 and have seen first-hand the impact the company has had on global logistics. I’m excited to work with Richard, the Board, and the entire WiseTech team to continue building on that legacy and drive long-term growth.”
